Well the problem is all the middle men who have to get a cut.

The Dist usually gets $3.00
The store usually makes $4.00
The label gets $8.00 (If they are lucky)

Now you have a CD that started out at $1.00 that is now regularly $15.99

If you take out the middle men the Cd is $8 Tops.

It's a Pimp and Hoe kind of thing. Unfortunately that hurts the consumer because they pay an extra $5 just because some pimp is in position. Those pimps are Retail and Distributor. The hoe is the project itself as well as artist and label. Sad to say it but its true.

Not really sure. As the day of going onto the store decline it will make it harder to get albums...let alone at a good price. You will be able to get songs through downloads pretty cheap but we are heading into a direct sale market arena that is going to just replace the retail store but i don't see pricesdeclining too much maybe a $1 or $1.50

I buy my music at the Cd Store or at a trade show sometimes on-line..I never burn though yiu can't say you are a loyal fan when you just got 18 plus songs by burning. That's how you really make the prices go down..rape the artest...LOL that just makes it worse and drives the price up.

Fans these days just listen and Burn and totally skip buying. Don't be mad when your favorite rapper gives you recycled shit. Why spend a bunch of money on a dope album when the fans aint gone buy it anyway. They gonna just burn it and tell you how much they support you as an artist BS.. So don't be mad when you burning old songs from a new album.
