How does a person get screwed by a major? Every dollar they plan on spending on your project is in the contract the artist decided to sign it. Labels take all the risk with the money the artist only risk there time. When a album does bad everyone blames the label when is the last time you ever heard someone say well I did put out a half ass album. Just like when some1 wins a championship they want to thank god but you never hear the losers who want to thank him first.

When I say "screwed" I mean - among many - that his album WILL drop under its wings (unlike FAB's album for instance) and that it will have a commercial success (thanks to various means of promotion). Second point doesn't only depend on the label, that's obvious.
