if he didn't then...bad press..but my statement still stands.....Mr. philosphy's voice is annoying when speaking about anything...Rakim/Kool G/Kane/Too Short is still the best ever from that era.

During that panel at Stanford Davey D brought up Too $hort and some other Bay Area acts. KRS said they were "not hip hop."

So KRS didn't directly mention names, but he was referencing Too $hort when he said that.

i didn't hear anything bout short dog in that audio panel.
You guys may not have heard all the audio. Some sites didn't post all of it.

Check this section: http://www.ourmedia.org/node/180603

It's a little hard to hear KRS, but like I said, Davey mentions Too $hort, MC Ant, etc... and says that Bambaata said that they are hip hop. Based on what you can hear KRS say and what Davey's response is, it's pretty easy to deduce what KRS is saying.

i was there when it all happened, so i heard it with my own ears. krs is a very cynical & bitter individual...the funniest part is that jive had signed too short long b4 kris, so shorts success pretty muched fueled the label to keep adding acts to the roster..thus came krs. kinda ironic but mainly really disrespectful.
