A classic question: how can I separate the Dru down fools from the street OG CD from the re-release? Is the ring code the only way or are there differences in sharpness on the cover art, etc...? Thanks

I think I bought mine from herm, and it looked like a legit og to me. but i can't tell you what it looks like now. because i HAD to sell it to a buddy. i needed money real bad.

that wasn't the only og i had to sell on the same day to the same dude. i had to sell Tre 8 - Ghetto Stories, and Mass 187 - Real Trues Payin Dues. that was a shitty day for me, to let those go for so cheap!

I got one yesterday with crisp and sharp cover art and a perfect green CD label too, but somehow I don't think that's the OG. According to amazon it was re-released in 2007. is that the blurry one?

I just scanned these... but this is definitely not a 2007 re-release.... i actually bought this from a cd spot in Seaside back in late 1993 called Music World.. i think it was Seaside or Monterey....

WHats the deal with this? Green og or not? When was it 2nd pressed? If og is correct it would of had to been pressed right after the first release, unless there are other version from 93-94????? I love these old releases lol

Yes

^^^Yes, you're correct. It's the 2nd pressing. The only difference as stated before/above is that the is Green disc is the 2nd pressing. The 1st Pressing "White" version is OG.BUT, like I said before the "Green" disc was re-released within the past couple of years.

Basically when it comes to the green disc...it will be the 2nd Pressing as seen above or a re-press/re-release (Not Pictured as of yet).

The true OG is the white disc, but the only difference between the OG/1st Pressing and the 2nd Pressing Green disc is the color of the disc. Other than that everything else is the same. Same art, music and etc.

Alright, I got a question for everyone. Does anyone have the Dru Down Can You Feel Me version without the 500 Mobsters song? That's the one I want.

I got the green one in the picture that og MS posted.

I have had this CD for like 10 years and this is the first time I noticed it said "1994 made in Israel by C.D.I"

I never seen a cd before like that, made in Israel.

Took a while.

It took me a while to find mine, because I boxed up a lot of my CD's. Any how, I noticed another difference between the two. This OG White disc is copyrighted 1993 not 1994 like the Green 2nd Press. That should settle any questions on which was first.

Oh yeah...Savage what are you talking about? I don't know what song you're referring too? Can you help us out a wee bit more? I'm sure that I can help you if you have a better description of the song that you're talking about? Thanks.

the artwork says 1993 though... someone should hit up Dru Down or C&H and see what the story is behind different pressings... I can tell you that when I put out album and they dropped in the 4th qtr... I would put the new year on it so it would seem new for a while longer....

either way... I sold my Dru Down.... but it's cool to see different color discs
