I thought it was daveyd from the Bay lol

that guy just sounded jealous as fuck,dude sounded like he did wanna get to kanye.That isnt davey d from kpfa right? He sounded just like kany whe kanye gets cocky,not wantin to listen at all.wack ass dj imo.

first off i can give a shit about both of them, but as a journalist it seems like davey d's own personal opinion on kanye west got in the interview which is a big no no ethically. granted he didn't even know kanye personally and he's judging off articles where sad to say that journalists have the power to throw quotes from an individual into a whole different context, i lost all respect for davey d.

i know he was having a hard time with the whole katrina thing in new orleans, but you still have to act professional and treat your interview with respect. kanye was a guest. he didn't even have to call in and give him that interview.

but kanye does come off arrogant and he does have a lot of quotables that show how confident he is from other interviews i've heard/seen- still is no reason for davey d to act the way he did.

he could of did it in a simple Q & A manner where you put the quote out there and say hey i read an article where your saying blah blah blah...can you clarify what exactly you mean by that?

just the whole way he attacked him in the interview was uncalled for. but davey d has been in the game for a long time so what do i know? i just don't agree with the way he conducted the interview...seemed like it was the cutthroat barbara walters approach...all i know that stuff he was saying at the end of the interview once kanye was off the phone really made him look like an asshole.

That's not Bay Area Davey D. so don't lose love for the wrong dude... That was some DJ from 103.5 The Bomb in Sac I beleive, not Davey D. from KPFA in Berkeley.

for real man,I was thinkin this dont sound like davey at all than I remembered hearin bout some other one.Like kb said,dude was lettin his personal opinion drive the interview.The REAL Davey D wouldnt have done a wack interview like that.I'm surprised kanye stayed on the line as long as he did lol.Notice after he found out dude was white he decided not to listen anymore haha

that dude Davey D used to be on 102.5 in Sac. last year. thats how he be doin interview. he's very opinionated and thats why he left 102.5. but imo the interview was'nt really that bad, it was after Kanye hung up that it got bad. the D.J. was after a shock value interview and did'nt really get what he wanted.

every question was a "set-up" for West to fumble...

LISTEN to the first questions:
DJ-"how yo doin brotha?"
DJ-"everything good with ya?"

WEST-"Im Great, its GREAT, Im feelin good"

DJ-"Check this out, Im not in the best of moods, my sister lost everything etc;Im not in the best of moods"

How the fucc you start off shit like that....unless you tryin to make someone look like a complete fool

davey d from the bay gave me my first break ad first radio play back in 1985 and is a class act all the way. he is very smart and has a good heart.

this aint him, this guy was a prick with a chip on his shoulder. thats one of the biggest haters i ever heard. he tried to bait kanye from the jump.

This guy(Frank, Dave D) came in the interview with an agenda. It was not the best show of jounalism. Even he showed that he had something to prove about Kanye at the end of the interview when the guy Davey tells the listening audience "see thats what Ive been telling yall". He was speaking as if he was going to prove that his notions of Kanye West were the truth. Based on the fact that the DJ seemed to have a bias and wanted to paint Kanye West in a negative light, its hard for one to use that particular interview as a judge of ones character.

On a side note all that talk of "hey brothea", yeah "brotha" really didn't sound genuine coming from the DJ.
