REALLY excited about this movie. I guess the whole thing is shot inside a coffin. Heres a synopsis.

A U.S. contractor working in Iraq awakes to find he is buried alive inside a coffin. With only a lighter and a cell phone it's a race against time to escape this claustrophobic death trap.

Official synopsis: Paul Conroy is not ready to die.

But when he wakes up 6 feet underground with no idea of who put him there or why, life for the truck driver and family man instantly becomes a hellish struggle for survival. Buried with only a cell phone and a lighter, his contact with the outside world and ability to piece together clues that could help him discover his location are maddeningly limited. Poor reception, a rapidly draining battery, and a dwindling oxygen supply become his worst enemies in a tightly confined race against time- fighting panic, despair and delirium, Paul has only 90 minutes to be rescued before his worst nightmare comes true.

^ That's not what i want to hear.

I have this great theory as to why he's there, but I'm sure it's nothing of the sort and he just dies down in that hole.

*Spoiler*

I actually liked the ending, most endings are these heroic endings and the person is saved (very predictable), this one was nothing like that. everyone who watched it was probably all giddy because he just had this heartfelt talk with his wife and they were digging him out and then BAM!!!! whoops we lied to you about the guy we supposedly save a few weeks back and we just found him now. A sequel in the making?

i agree about how its not the "hollywood ending" but he was no hero, he was a just a guy that needed a job to support his family and sadly i know a few of those guys that went to iraq for work because the pay ( contractual rebuilders, mechanics) not even trained by the military just regular people.....

this character that reynolds portrays is just a civilian and literally gets fucked by his employer and ultimately his country...seriously terminating his contract is all the employer cared about...so its not just the fact that he was buried alive and didnt get rescued i would have been fine with that...its the fact that everyone that should have given a shit didnt...his family wont be receiving his benefits from the company and they are really the ones who get shit on in this film....i can see the government saying fuck you pal your on your own on this one....but an employer for this kind of work i never thought about.....no it wasnt the perfect ending, i would have liked to see him get rescued and then go after the company....it was a fucked up ending to a decent guy trying to provide for his family....

I hear what your saying on that note which is 100% true, but why the fuck would you go through an interview to get fired & waste your cell battery that shit pissed me off i'd rather call some phone porno service & bust one off...for me the hollywood build up is so far played out and to end a flick with an innocent victim dying like this is edgy and well played out, especially after watching Reynolds in a box for the whole flick shit better end good.

I sat there and watched my girl get teary eyed and at the end pointed and said "ha-ha...not what you thought"
