another speeding ticket thread

So I got pulled over by CHP and the guy says I was going 95(in 65), he "should arrest me for reckless driving" Because I went from the first lane to the last lane... but the section of freeway was empty, and I used my blinker, AND I paused in between each lane change... but I was going probably 85, he starts saying how he had to go 110 to catch up to me, but he had no lights on till he got damn near bumper to bumper with me and at that time I was going 70. I didnt have insurance either...

So, I have to go to court friday to see the judge... Anyone know if I try and fight it, will I have to pay more if I lose? I know the guy didn't get me on radar. I was trying to wait another month till I turn 25 to get insurance because I cant afford that shit.... so much for cheap insurance.

I had a nice 3 year run of no insurance/never getting pulled over.

the cop didnt put reckless driving on the ticket, just speeding+no insurance luckily?

I don't think you'll be eligible for traffic school or any of that. I think you have to be going 20 mph or less under the limit to have that option. With you going 30 mph over I think you're gonna have to just accept the punishment. Good luck bro.

Im ordering insurance right now before im found guilty of anything. Hopefully I can get traffic school and they dont cancel it.

You should be able to take traffic school for the speeding portion no problem.

The bigger issue is no insurance... I think the minimum (standard) fine is $980 or something like that. I didn't have my card on me once and thats what the ticket came up with.

Yeah, I know the no insurance is going to kill me I think its something like if you can prove you just didnt have the paper its only like 50 bucks, if you get it after you got the ticket its "only" like 280. So im gonna bring that in when I go to court, knowing im already losing 300.

LOL I always get lucky... I was pulling 110 on 280 going to work. I saw a CHP on the opposite side and further up there was a CHP on a bike. Luckily for me he had the radar gun pointed at a passing by jet LOL he saw me coming up and tried clocking me but by then I slowed it down to 70 hehehe

they got radar detector shit built in their cars now, all he has to do is line up with a head/tail light and bam.. you can only go to traffic school once every 18 months as well.

i know all the speed traps around here and when to speed and not speed.. the fastest i go on the freeway is 85.. its too congested to go any faster. Going 100+ on the san mateo bridge is always fun tho.. except when theres turbulance or its windy as fuck at the top.

I got one last May and that shit is a pain in the fuckin ass.Fuckin classes and fines up the ass.....no more pervin and swervin after that shit it aint worth the headache!

Yeah, got a DWI back in '05... got locked up in the psych ward too, wasn't fun =/ Shit sucked BIG time. 2000 dollars later I learned my lesson and that's not including my insurance, which I still pay through my ass for.

LOL, um cuz I was kinda flippin' out when they put me in the holding cell... bashed my head on the cement wall a couple times, but they was pissin' me off. They wanted me to piss in this cup (all male cops too) and they were watching me, like WTF? I told them to take their cup and shove it up their ass. They were being severe dick fucks... I hate cops, fuckin' hate 'em. Shoulda kept my cool though, if I woulda been cool they woulda released me the next morning or prolly within a few hours, instead I landed myself a 72 hour hold in the psych ward which was awful depressing. Sittin' in there with a bunch of people who tried suicide or were cutters... fuck, I never wanna go back there.
