The band that really expanded my horizons and made me investigate rock was TOOL. I listened exclusively to rap for YEARS. I used to think rock sucked until I purchased Tool's catalog and got really into them. From there all I pretty much listen to is rock....... Good topic, by the way.....

Just picked up Meddle and Momentary Lapse (it was used) yesterday. I really like Echoes from Meddle a lot. Haven't soaked the whole album thoroughly yet......

I haven't seen this yet, but I heard on the radio that Hetfield was vouching for a grip of other metal bands to be inducted. He mentioned Iron Maiden, Judas Priest, and a bunch of others. I thought that was cool.....
