I've been locked up plenty times, and while it's nothing to brag about I can tell you that in order to drop out of your gang and get accepted to protective custody, you need to "debrief". Which means you need to snitch, give information about your gang, do an interview and so on.
He did most his time in PC, with pedophiles, rapists, child molesters, snitches, basically the biggest pieces of shit.

When you debrief in prison its not public record. Its private documents that the prison keeps under your file. You dont go to court for it, you give up info in exchange for PC.if you know someone that's really done time ask them. They'll tell you how it works.
You guys ain't up on game wit this shit. PW is only for street crimes and you get written statements based on testifying against someone. Plea bargains. Thats not tied to debriefs in prison at all. Debriefing is not an offense and you dont go to court. You're already in prison.
