Infused with bold expressions of resistance and self-determination Alia Sharrief\u2019s music is poignant and timely.<\/p>\n

This EP explores the life of a woman that refuses to blend in with the trends and boldly stands out, hijab and all. \u201cDon\u2019t Forget Me\u201d is a breath of fresh air for Hip-Hop and the music world, featuring all original music and a few re-mastered classic Alia cuts.\u00a0 Alia Sharrief released her first project in 2012 and has made outstanding strides throughout her career, opening up for the likes of Kendrick Lamar and recently for Yasiin Bey (Mos Def) on his retirement tour. Her work has recently been mentioned in CNN, Ebony, Paper Mag, The Breakfast Club, KQED and many other news outlets.<\/p>\n

She endeavors far beyond the stage through her advocacy and activism. Alia Sharrief is perhaps the primary representation of Muslim women in the Rap genre.
