{"id":63703,"date":"2015-08-11T12:17:08","date_gmt":"2015-08-11T12:17:08","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/siccness.net\/wp\/?p=63703"},"modified":"2015-08-11T12:17:08","modified_gmt":"2015-08-11T12:17:08","slug":"the-stars-came-out-for-straight-outta-compton-la-premiere","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.siccness.net\/wp\/the-stars-came-out-for-straight-outta-compton-la-premiere","title":{"rendered":"The Stars Came Out For Straight Outta Compton, LA Premiere"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>The stars of \u201cStraight Outta Compton\u201d went straight to downtown Los Angeles, to the Microsoft Theater at LA Live to be exact, for the film\u2019s premiere\u00a0Monday night.<\/p>\n<p>Original N.W.A members Ice Cube and Dr. Dre, DJ Yella and MC Ren attended the event to celebrate the hip-hop biopic, along with producer Tomica Woods-Wright.<\/p>\n<p>Cast members including O\u2019Shea Jackson Jr., who plays his father, Ice Cube (<em>both pictured below<\/em>), Jason Mitchell, Marlon Yates, Jr., Keith Powers, Aldis Hodge, Lisa Renee Pitts,\u00a0Allen Maldonado and\u00a0Corey Hawkins all walked the red carpet, while actor Tom Arnold, Snoop Dogg and\u00a0Gabrielle Union also joined the party.<\/p>\n<p>R. Marcus Taylor stars in the film as Marion \u201cSuge\u201d Knight, meanwhile Paul Giamatti plays N.W.A.\u2019s manager,\u00a0Gerald E. \u201cJerry\u201d Heller.<\/p>\n<p>Former One Direction member Zayn Malik was the\u00a0surprise guest of the night, and his appearance at the premiere quickly trended on Twitter.<\/p>\n<p>The Los Angeles Police Department rolled out additional units for the premiere and the stepped-up police presence included special events officers from the LAPD\u2019s Central Bureau, as well as members of the department\u2019s Gang Enforcement Detail.<\/p>\n<p>Analysts say it is on track to make at or near its $29 million production budget on opening weekend, and the film has already created a buzz on social media thanks to a clever marketing campaign that allows users to change their profile picture to the famous album cover.
