Former Bad Boy artist\u00a0Loon<\/strong>, now known as Amir Muhadith, was sentenced to 14 years in prison after being found guilty of distribution and conspiracy charges. The former hip-hop star was arrested in Belgium in November of 2011 and was extradited back to North Carolina to face the drug charges.<\/p>\n Taking his story to social media, Loon is asking fans to write character letters to the judge explaining how Islam has changed his life. He also issued audio of a prison interview where he defends his character.<\/p>\n \u201cI want to explain to you, in detail, the charge that I was charged with and the federal indictment from the Eastern District of North Carolina as well as the conspiracy charge which I was charged with, conspiring to possess with intent to distribute one or more kilo of heroin. \u2026 In 2008 \u2014 some individuals had crossed my path who were interested, at one point, in the music industry. At one point, these individuals called me in relation to something totally different than the lifestyle I was living.
