{"id":11828,"date":"2012-12-21T18:19:22","date_gmt":"2012-12-21T18:19:22","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.siccness.net\/?p=11828"},"modified":"2012-12-21T18:19:22","modified_gmt":"2012-12-21T18:19:22","slug":"from-the-streets-to-the-academy-awards","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.siccness.net\/wp\/from-the-streets-to-the-academy-awards","title":{"rendered":"From the Streets to the Academy Awards"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><span style=\"font-family: Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: small;\">From the grimy streets of America to Oscars, Grammys, Platinum and Gold plaques.\u00a0<\/span><strong><em>Prezident Bejda<\/em><\/strong><span style=\"font-family: Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: small;\">\u00a0hosted the 50th Episode of the\u00a0<\/span><em><strong>Murder Master Music Show<\/strong><\/em><span style=\"font-family: Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: small;\">\u00a0on\u00a0<strong><em>UGS Radio<\/em><\/strong>\u00a0which has featured many of the game&#8217;s biggest legends and pioneers already, but Episode 50 was a 3 Hour special that brought out many heavy weights in the game.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<div><\/div>\n<div><span style=\"font-family: Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: small;\">The first legend to call in was Billboard Award winner and southern legend\u00a0<em><strong>JT Money\u00a0<\/strong>(Poison Clan)<\/em>. JT was on the road about to rock a show but found time to\u00a0<\/span><span style=\"font-family: Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;\">call in<\/span><span style=\"font-family: Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: small;\">\u00a0and represent for the show. From there several other legends came through. Prezident Bejda was joined by special Co-Host, Owensboro rhyme sayer\u00a0<strong><em>Mac Mizzle.<\/em><\/strong>\u00a0<\/span><\/div>\n<div><span style=\"font-family: Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: small;\"><br \/>\n<\/span><\/div>\n<div><span style=\"font-family: Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: small;\">Academy Award Winner\u00a0<strong><em>Frayser Boy<\/em><\/strong>\u00a0(Hustle &amp; Flow) called in as well as \u00a0Grammy Award Winner for his work on Dr. Dre&#8217;s Chronic, the legendary\u00a0<strong><em>RBX<\/em><\/strong>. The show also\u00a0received\u00a0calls from G-Funk legend\u00a0<strong><em>Kokane<\/em><\/strong>\u00a0who chopped it up with Memphis Pioneer\u00a0<strong><em>Gangsta Pat<\/em><\/strong>. The two discussed the influence of their Fathers who both were legends Jerry Long Sr (Motown), and drummer Willie Hall (Stax Records).\u00a0<\/span><\/div>\n<div><span style=\"font-family: Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: small;\"><br \/>\n<\/span><\/div>\n<div><span style=\"font-family: Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: small;\"><em>&#8220;It was amazing to hear two legends from different regions chop it up, but to hear about how both of their Fathers were on legendary labels like Stax and\u00a0Motown\u00a0was amazing.&#8221; Prez<\/em><\/span><\/div>\n<div><span style=\"font-family: Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: small;\"><em><br \/>\n<\/em><\/span><\/div>\n<div><span style=\"font-family: Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: small;\">Also on the show was the other original member of Poison Clan,\u00a0<strong><em>Debonaire,\u00a0<\/em><\/strong>\u00a0Midwest flame spitter\u00a0<strong><em>C-Mob<\/em><\/strong>, LA Legend\u00a0<strong><em>Black Silve<\/em><\/strong>r (Analogue Brothers with Ice-T, Kool Keith, etc), Atlanta rapid spitter\u00a0<em>T-Rock,\u00a0<\/em>and\u00a0<\/span>Compton\u00a0<strong><em>OG Cuicide<\/em><\/strong>.<\/div>\n<div><span style=\"font-family: Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: small;\"><br \/>\n<\/span><\/div>\n<div><span style=\"font-family: Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: small;\">To top it all off the one and only\u00a0<strong><em>Real Rick Ross<\/em><\/strong>\u00a0came through to show his love for the\u00a0<em><strong>Murder Master Music Show<\/strong><\/em>.\u00a0<\/span><\/div>\n<div><span style=\"font-family: Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: small;\"><br \/>\n<\/span><\/div>\n<div><span style=\"font-family: Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: small;\"><em>&#8220;First and foremost as a fan this was a dream. All of these people that came on the show tonight were and still are legendary. Even though I have been doing rap music journalism for over 15 years it still humbles me to see\u00a0historic\u00a0shit like this taking place. Who the fuck does this? I do it from a fans perspective because I will always be a fan of the music. Its time to take a stand and pay homage to these legends and pioneers.
