Here is a link to the third round.

http://poststuff6.entensity.net/053110/flash.php?media=ufc114b.flv

Now watch the video from 1:47 to 1:50 thats the time it took him to throw the punch that knocked him down and the hammer fist.

That's 3 whole seconds to react, as an MMA fighter you are trained never to stop until the ref stops you, so even when you knock someone down is does not mean that they are knocked out, so his reaction is what any fighter would do, go after your opponent and finish the fight.

So lets recap he had 3 seconds to react while his adrenalin was going, and in those 3 seconds he knocked down his opponent, and did what he was trained to do and finish the fight he was already throwing the hammer fist but instead of just smashing his face he realized his opponent was out of it and barley touching him showing SPORTSMANSHIP and you two are calling in unsporting and a bitch move???

Get the fuck out of here with that shit.....

EXACTLY

You guys must not fully be into MMA, there have been cases where a guy didn't wait for the ref to pull him off and stopped on his own and the guy appears to recover so the ref didn't stop it and sometimes it only takes a couple seconds to appear to recover(not really recover but make it look that way.) There has also been times where a person had a submission locked in and the guy taps, the ref doesn't see but the fighter lets go and then the guy claims he didn't tap. In MMA it is always the best bet to let the ref stop it, if you are lucky enough to KNOW the guy is out and you have time to stop yourself good but doesn't happen in most cases.

I agree with iaoish, which is why I said it was kind of a bitch move. The guy obviously realized he was out as he was doing it thus the pussy hammer.

I'm just not a fan of smashing on a dudes face when he's out cold, no need for that in any sport, imo. If the guy isn't out, sure go for it if that's what you have to do to win, but I like guys like Anderson Silva who often knocks someone down and gives the guy a chance to get up if he wants, that imo is more gangsta then jumpin on a guy and pounding on his face when he's down.
im beginning to believe you like fights where guys dont get hit because you loved that mosely mayweather fight and after the second round werent too many punches being worth a damn defensive fighting PFFFFFFFFFFFFFT WHOOP ASS AND CARRY EM OUT ON A STRETCHER

The fuck you takin about?? When did I ever say after round 2 it was an awesome fight? The only thing I said was that Floyd won easy after round 2, that does not mean it translates to fight of the year or it was action packed.

My favorite fight of all time was Diego Corrales vs Jose Luis Castillo. An all out war from start to finish.

If you cannot understand my opinion I don't give a shit, it's my personal opinion. Like I said I have more respect for Anderson Silva, etc. then some dude that hammers on an unconscious man's face.

Thank you for that link. This provided me the info for the rest of my post.
I had only seen the 3 gifs so far.

Now watch the video from 1:47 to 1:50 thats the time it took him to throw the punch that knocked him down and the hammer fist.

You know 3 seconds is a long time, right.
MMA fighters are trained to learn to react explosively. Then 3 seconds is a lot of time.
This guy who threw the hammer fist isn't as experienced or trained as you describe above.
This guy is not the trained killer an MMA fighter should be.
This full clip revealed that.

His reaction was not based on training or adrenaline. His reaction was based on inexperience.
The first shot to the temple was a lucky shot, you can tell from the rest of this clip because all of his punches are random. None where correctly placed.

I think 2-0-Sixx already pointed out that Anderson Silva let his opponent come back up. So there goes your theory on what any fighter would do.

When he saw the guy going to the ground he was immediately on top of him.
He saw that the dude bounced the back of his head on the canvas.
And he knows damn well what is going on inside the head when you bounce your head like that.
And he bounced his head like that after a shot to the temple.

This guy knew his opponent was out, before he got in position to throw that last strike.

So yeah, like it was said before; it's a bitch move

So you did not even watch the fight in the first place and decided to throw your 2 cents in? Thats like me watching a movie trailer than trying to explain the whole movie to someone...

http://www.sherdog.com/fighter/Mike-Russow-20552

So lets see some facts here

1) Mike Russow first pro fight was in 1998, im sure he was training before that fight but if we go off of 1998 that is 12 years of experience.

2) He has 3 TKO and 8 submissions that means that almost 85% of the time he has finished his opponents

So YES he is experienced, just because he not a top tier fighter does not mean he lacks experience. Does his striking need alot of improvement yes it does, but saying his reaction was based on lack of experience has to be one of the dumbest fucking things I have ever read on the siccness.

He did EXACTLY what a fighter is trained to do and that is you go after your opponent until the ref stops you.

I think 2-0-Sixx already pointed out that Anderson Silva let his opponent come back up. So there goes your theory on what any fighter would do.
Now name how many other fighters you see let there opponent get up??? Almost none, Anderson is a freak and hes toys with his opponents that is why he lets them get up, but that toying with them is also what has Dana pissed off ( this is a whole different subject ).

Are you that fucking blind or that fucking stupid im still trying to figure it out?

Yep you are right on everything you said up until the last part, that hammer fist was nothing more than a touch on his face there was no force behind it, which is why this thread was started in the first place as its the most pussy hammer fist thrown in MMA, kids hit harder than that this shit is comedy to everyone but you act like Mike Russow kicked your dog or something???

And lets further add to the bitch move since you want to use the Silva comparison.

Dan Henderson vs Michael Bisping.

Dan knew Bisping was out when he dropped the second blow to him on the ground, as much as I cant stand Bisping that was a bitch move, so how do you compare a full blown punch to someone tapping the face of their opponent is beyond me.

Im done this shit is pointless....

Maybe I am missing something but why is this the most legendary hammer fist in mma history?

I only have these 3 gifs to go on... but it seems to me he hit the guy on his temple..
And with a bodymass like that behind that punch there is not much else to do then drop to the floor....
So you didn't even read all my posts and still you are trying to have a conversation..
That's like
watching a movie trailer than trying to explain the whole movie to someone...

It is even more embarrassing if this dude has been fighting for 12 years.

If he has been fighting for 12 years. Does not mean he has 12 years of experience.
If he has been doing a lot of stuff wrong during those 12 years. Which he obviously has, because if after 12 years you cannot land a 'simple' strike, you lack a bunch of experience. I don't know what he has been doing in those 12 years but it isn't working on his techniques.

Now name how many other fighters you see let there opponent get up??? Almost none, Anderson is a freak and hes toys with his opponents that is why he lets them get up, but that toying with them is also what has Dana pissed off ( this is a whole different subject ).
I was just referring to Silva as 2-0-Sixx mentioned him. There is one guy and I am sure it happened more often during the MMA history.
With other words... not all fighters, like you said. Dive after their opponent.

Are you that fucking blind or that fucking stupid im still trying to figure it out?

Yep you are right on everything you said up until the last part, that hammer fist was nothing more than a touch on his face there was no force behind it, which is why this thread was started in the first place as its the most pussy hammer fist thrown in MMA, kids hit harder than that this shit is comedy to everyone but you act like Mike Russow kicked your dog or something???
please read my previous post.
The dude was well aware his opponent was knocked out.

And lets further add to the bitch move since you want to use the Silva comparison.

I am not making any other comparisons, or give my opinion on other fights during this discussion.
For it has no relation to this particular fight.
We can start a whole different discussion as you want.
Since you say you are done with this.

So you would rather a fighter dance around and avoiding contact instead of finishing him off when he clearly has the other fighter out classed??? and as far as the weak hammer fist many times the referee is the one that suppose to stop the fight and they tell the fighters to go until they make the call. this fight as well as the the bisbane hendo fight the referee was too far out of the action to stop the extra blows being landed. the difference between the two is one was a full on smash his head (not at all called for) in and a boop to the nose.

Again Irish Retard, when did I say anything like that? I even gave a specific example of what my favorite all time fight was, a non-stop action packed fight, which you've probably never seen before.

To sum up my very simple point is that I respect a fighter who doesn't hit a guy who is laying on the ground knocked the fuck out.

Is that too much for your brain at this point to grasp or what because we've gone over this a couple times now.

look 2-0-suxx you gave an example of an action packed fight and then of anderson silva who recently was criticized for dancing around the ring for the last couple of rounds and not initiating. thats where the confusion comes in and to really call that a hammerfist or a cheapshot is really lame. like i stated earlier it is up to the referee to stop the fight and many fighters have been chastized for not finishing fights.

I mean this is fighting right? People have been caught on the button and have been stumbled but recover to finish a fight. BTW Diego Corrales vs Jose Luis Castillo was a very good fight love it when guy slug it out i also liked morales vs. barrera fights. liked we have argued before i guess i am not a big defensive guy when it comes to what i like when i watch fights
