It's really not a bad card. Besides the Donaire fight every other bout seems to be really competitive. Vargas is fighting at the heaviest of his career against Donaire as a late replacement.

Montiel Vs. Morales should be pretty good fight to see where Montiel is at in his career. He looked pretty bad in his last fight that he should have lost and he's fighting an extremely untested 14-0 fighter.

Penalosa Vs. Morel should be a pretty good bout between two older former champions. Hopefully neither is too shopworn and they put on a good scrap.

Santiago Vs. Concepcion is just a good fight between two overlooked prospects that's gonna decide who steps in the ring next with Juanma.

I don't think I'm gonna be ordering it but I'll definitely end up watching it.

Penalosa, once again robbed in Vegas.

What's up with the replacement opponent for Nonito? They couldn't find anyone his own size? Terrible mismatch.

Montiel beasted. Concepcion wasn't as wild as he usually is, interested in the fight with JuanMa.

Definitely want to see a Donaire vs Vic rematch. IMO, Donaire was dominating the fight, and would have outboxed him if the hook hadn't put his lights out first anyways.

pretty exciting night. my only gripe was with penalosa. i thought he was losing the first 5 but after that cut. he pressured and came back imo. if you listen close freddy roach was happy after the fight. told him he fights like an 18 year old. thats a trip especially after roach advised him to retire after his last fight. the last score was too much of a gap. i don't think he should retire he should stick it out definitely not that much of a loss.

No he is not ready, I just got done watching the fight. Concepcion will always have a punchers chance cuz he does pack a lot of heat, but he doesn't throw many punches he has a really low workrate, and I noticed he did not like getting hit to the body at all. I think because Lopez throws a ton of punches and he works the body well, it will be all bad for Concepcion. I think lopez can stop him late if he puts in work downstairs early.

I've always liked Concepcion since the first time I saw him a few years back, but he needs to improve a few areas of his game and I think he lacks good judgment at times too, Lopez will be too much for him.

And why is Gamboa doing all of Lopez' dirty work?!

Lopez nearly dies against Mtagwa and instead of rematching him Gamboa is sent in to destroy Mtagwa thus ending any possible rematch.

Caballero had all the belts at 122 and people have been wanting a Caballero vs lopez fight for about 2 years now, and Caballero has been calling out lopez publicly for some time, calling him a faggot and a bitch, and here comes Gamboa sent in to do the same thing he did against Mtagwa. I swear Gamboa is like the Joe Pesci of boxing, whacking any possible threat to the Golden Puerto Rican!

Mtagwa ain't Caballero .. this is by no means an easy win for Gamboa. The only people I've seen Caballero have serious trouble with is guys that are the same, or close to the same, height as him (i.e. Cordoba & Mathebula.) Caballero's patient, uses his height well and has decent enough pop to trouble most fighters in his weight class to where this could be problems for Gamboa.

It's not gonna be an easy night keeping your hands down and lunging in against an accurate, tall veteran fighter like Caballero. And Caballero didn't have all the belts at 122 .. he wasn't even paid attention to in the division while Vazquez & Marquez battled it out in the division.
