Bute was VERY impressive on saturday. He's fast, slick and has very good power. IMO he's the man to beat at super middleweight!

Here is a short video of his recent victory on saturday against a guy who has never been KO'd before:

I MISS THE HEAVYWEIGHT FIGHTS BACK IN THE DAY -
Besides the Ali era, and the Mike Tyson/Holyfield days, heavyweights have always been kinda lame. IMO it's always been about welterweight to middleweight. Think Tommy Hearns, Sugar Ray Leonard, Duran, Marvin Hagler and now Pacquiao, Mayweather, Shane mosley, etc. You get the best of both worlds at these weight classes (speed & power). Heavyweights are just big power punching guys, rarely do you see any highly skilled heavyweights, even back when Tyson was kicking ass everyone sucked for the most part until holyfield came along.

I'm VERY proud of the guy. Making us proud.

Watch more of his videos.
Good boxer.
Good movement, great combos, power, humble guy.
I wish he kept his hands up more.

I can't wait until he takes on even bigger names.

The Ring Magazine (the only place that really counts) has just elevated Bute to #1 at supermiddleweight. So the sky is the limit. He will likely take a semi easy fight for now and wait for a winner to emerge from the Super Six Tournament and fight that person (my guess is either Andre Ward or Arthur Abraham).

I like Bute. I picked him to win by UD, but I don't think many expected a KO. His hand speed was very impressive, and showed power that I didn't know he had.

What most impresses me though, is the guy has a very loyal fan base! Packed house of 16,000+!

Yeah, I'd like to see him fight Abraham. It would be a great matchup, IMO.

Ward is the best 168 pounder in the world right now in my biased opinion though. LOL

Haha, no doubt...he did beat the man though...but I agree. I don't think beating Taylor will be enough, but I think if he can get a win against Abraham...which I have no doubt that he could...there would be no question about it.

I would love to see a Ward-Bute fight!

Not that new to boxing fans, but still, he's the type of fighter that needs more exposure. I like the dude, and think he's a hell of a boxer, but didn't give him the props he probably deserved until his last fight vs. Andrade.
