I never thought much of Cloud to begin with but that was a big time impressive win for a guy just starting out his pro career.

Cloud looked like a straight opponent in there. I will say this about Beterbiev, he took Cloud's punches well and he seems to be a good finisher. It'd be normal for him to start off slow, even after the first knockdown, but he went straight forward and mowed Cloud down.
Yeah man. I know Cloud is a limited fighter but he's seemed like a very durable, strong guy. To see him tossed around like a rag doll was kinda shocking to me lol.

Russian invasion at 175.

It's a shame he decided to go with King. During his title reign, with as much as HBO liked Cloud he should have been able to bring in good money while it lasted. As soon as he won the title he was extremely inactive, can't believe people still sign with King, especially since he doesn't have close to the pull he used to have.

This was a pretty good fight weekend though. That card in Canada, double cruiserweight title fights in Russia, Abraham Vs. Smith and a fight between Chavez & Alvarez (though not the one everyone wants to see).

Yeah I always liked Cloud. He had this intensity about him everytime he fought, like he wanted to kill whoever the opponent was. After he won the title that intensity disappeared. Maybe it was being so inactive like you say, maybe it was a sense of "making it" like Nazim talked about. Whatever it is he isn't the same guy anymore. Like you said he looked like an opponent. Doesn't have that hunger anymore.
