Well by now alot of you know we do a toy drive for the kids every year and have for the last two. This year we're gettin it going again, even tho it's a late start...we think we can still help make a difference. Last year we donated the toys, books & even clothes to the Salvation Army's "Christmas Dinner" they held. We donated a really good amount of toys and we're able to help out again and make some sort of dent in the folks live's that were less fortunate.
We never ask for new things, unless you would like to send new things...we leave the choice up to you. Last year we got help from BAMMER, LMD1510, SACTOWN RADIO, T.A. GUERRERO, TAPPY, CQ415, SAVVY from the boards and plenty more from people in the streets who had heard about it. It was nice and we appreciated the help.
For those skeptic's wondering wether this is a scam or not, please by all means...ask around and you will know this is 100% official. You can also go to the site: www.dugoutent.com and take a look at the pictures from our last two events we donated at and see that this is legit. We do owe some certificates to last years donater's for their participation and those will be mailed this year...our apologies. The certificates was something we wanted to start providing to folks who helped so they could hang that on their walls framed, something nice to have you know.
If you are interested in helping and have some toys or books laying around that maybe don't use anymore for the kids please by all means send them in to us...we'll take them and make good use of them! Or if you'd like to go out and pick something up too...that'd be fine as well. Like I said, we don't expect anyone to do anything that is gonna cost them an arm & a leg....keep it within your means folks.
Alot of us are lucky to be around our families and to even have a gift or two for each other, but I think we all know...that not everyone has it like that and if we can somehow put our own personal needs aside for a hot second...we can make some sort of a difference, no matter how big or small it is.
