Fuck I've been lagging it, work and school full time, but went shooting last Friday about 4-5 more exp. left on my roll of film. Can't wait to see how they came out. I'll try and post as much as I can... I've been shooting more than before but until I develop that film it doesn't even matter.

Just outta curiosity, what do you mean exactly?
Personally I like subtlety (sp?) and most of those hdr's were edited to strong for my taste.

for example you can see the big hue around the building. Or the over sharpness in the front in the photo with those boats or too much contrast between the black and light area's.

I am not a professional nor critic.. just my personal taste.

Everyone is entitled to their opinion...I posted about 3-4 pics that are HDR, Alcatraz, Golden Gate Bridge(close up) the art.com building, not all HDR pics are edited the same..it's a personal preference, some might like it some might not, the boat pic is just a panoramic shot edited with a little lucis effect(no sharpening whatsoever) maybe the ripples in the water give that impression but I rarely sharpen anything unless it's a close up shot where there's something obviously out of focus, the rest are long exposure

I don't know the Alcatraz one looked to me as it could be a texture of a video game though.
I think the boat pic might have looked to sharp for me because of so much detail (the small flowers) in the foreground.

I'm digging the close up of the golden gate but also the distant one, I really like lighting on the bridge and the colours in the sky.

As you said it's just personal preference, I'm in no position to criticise anyone, just trying to get convo's started I guess. Like Chapo said most of the work I've seen from you is on point!

Thanks for the explanation. I dont agree or disagree with what you're seeing. I just ask that because I feel like each photographer has a certain taste/style so when I see things like "over edited" or anything like that it kinda throws me off, meaning; If thats the artists way of presenting their photographs then I dont think there can be any such thing as "over editing"...and it goes back to exactly what you said at the end; personal taste.

Sup with us all letting our camera's collect dust though?

We should agree on a topic for the weekly photo thread or something.
And create a weekly photo topic thread..
I tried the 365 project lol, failed miserably... didn't think i'd be too busy working and going to school full-time. Wishful thinking :hurt:

Can't wait to develop these prints and see what I come up with.

Low light shots with the 6D..

ISO between 8000-12800 Canon 17-40L F4 lens..

Overall it was a good buy for the price..

The wireless features work well for me. I like to be able to see the shots on my MAC as I take them and it works well for that purpose. The remote shooting with the EOS app is kinda whack but I don't do that anyway.

I never really liked my 17-40 on the 7D but I havent really taken it off.
My 85 1.8 and 50 1.4 are killin it on both cameras so I'm not concerned with those. My 70-200IS II 2.8 is already a beast but I'll post some of those shots as well. The $2500 I paid for that lens made it easier to go with the 6D over the 5DMKIII. My boy has the 5DMKIII and we ran shots side-by-side..No one we showed pics to could tell a difference in overall quality of the shot. I'll probably keep both cameras for a while as they both have pros and cons.

I did a shoot yesterday and used 2 580EX II Speedlites triggered wirelessly for fill light with the 17-40 on the 6D and the shots look clean as fuck.

Thanks to everyone who helped with the info, its much appreciated.
