Alex got better as the year went along, and balled in the playoffs. Now he has a full offseason with this staff, and system...please ANYONE, Niner fan or not, tell me what leads you to believe he won't progress?

Also...

Who out there that is available is better?

Alex: "It's free agency, it's the NFL, I went down there (Miami) but the plan all along was to come back here."
Alex Smith on Manning: Not offended at all. I would have relished the opportunity to compete for the starting qb job with Peyton Manning.
#49ers QB Alex Smith: "Really the money wasn't the issue. Money is great for security but I'm not a guy who has a bunch of flashy cars."
Alex Smith: "Passing game's the emphasis, it's time to really take it to the next level."

he had plenty of time to get better and to learn more of the playbook..

no matter what, the playbook stays limited with him because of his "throwing power" that he lacks of..

we really have smith again? way to get a receiver he cant throw too.

this is bs. i cant say enough bad shit about this guy, and miss me with the BS. "he had X amount of coaches, blah blah" he cannot throw deep or read coverage, he gets lucky on most passes.

even if u wanna dismiss what ive seen over 7 seasons, why cant he throw a ball over 30+ yards?

sure post up the times hes done it, per game. what does that equal to each season? he is not our answer. at this point im pissed at management

1.But u hella wanted Matt Flynn so around and around we go

2. Im getting a Moss 9ers Jersey even if he doesnt play one regular season game, this may reflect on how much I wear it in public but I digress

3. I dont know what the consensus is on Michael Crabtree on here, but I dont think anyone would put the words elite and wide receiver in the same book let alone the same sentence with it comes to crabby

4. So with added improvements, another year with the coaching staff, a full offseason, the confidence from last year, and more than likely a solid draft

Where is the logic that Alex is gonna do worse vs better and we went to the NFC Championship game?

5. This is a dumb point but I want you to think about it, what if during this whole Alex Smith stretch we had Brady Quinn, can you imagine how much bitching and fightin in the locker room there would be?
