We should make an "actual good original American movies" release thread every year in here lol.

It can count books, comics, etc being made to movies because that has been going on forever but no remakes.

Sometimes the original holder sells the rights for a remake.
The production company saves a ton of money on the marketing side.

For example, Halloween was resold.
Hellraiser sold out after part 2.

They just buy the rights and the fans come with it.

I think it's stupid, but hey...they make money.
Conan is going to suck ass, but I bet they will make a profit on it.

They should start remaking all the terrible movies that were made and see if they can make them good. Instead of ruining classics. A remake of a classic will never be better than the original, it just never is. Might as well take a shit film and try to make it dope.
