HBO: True Detective

That was A+ television right there. The final 15 minutes or so was intense.

Watched first 3, pretty good so far, so now time to watch episode 4. New ones are on Sunday, Right?

I haven't watched the show yet, but that 6 minute tracking shot they did WAS FUCKING AMAZING.

It's on par with the tracking shot in Children of Men when Clive Owen is running through the street.

and yeah good call on that tracking shot LDS, I noticed that was like one whole shot, and I think that was the first time they did that in the first 4 episodes. every other shot is so set and planned

I got a little hung up at the very end when they clearly edited Matthew whatshisface into the shot, then went back to the last couple seconds of the tracking shot, just because he's a giant star and we apparently needed to see him say "let's get out of here" or whatever he said. I'm just nitpicking, but it's clear they spliced him in there over the last 3 seconds of that amazing shot. It broke my concentration on the scene.
