trippin, this show is pretty good so far.....it's dark like the batman stories are supposed to be....penguin is a vicious muthafucka and has killed someone damn near every episode, fish mooney is an interesting new character and the entire police force is corrupt as fuck, especially Gordon's partner.....I thought it was gonna be tame like smallville, but it's been pretty bloody for a comic book adaptation

'Gotham' Season 2 News, Update: Young Bruce Wayne Actor Spills Details About The Batcave, Jim Gordon, the New Villains and More

It's only just a matter of weeks before the highly-anticipated second season of Fox's hit crime-fighting drama TV series "Gotham" returns to the small screens. However, fans may still be hankering for more information on what to expect in the new season.

Here's the latest we heard:

The people from DenOfGeek.com claimed to have visited the set of the show this month. David Mazouz was one of the cast members they were able to talk to and he dished out a great deal of information about Season 2.

The young actor who plays Bruce Wayne on the show started off by talking about the "bat cave."

"…it's going to change the course of his whole life entirely and every aspect of his life, along with it," the actor said and added that the discovery would lend him more information about his dad (via DoG).

"He's gonna learn a lot about Wayne Enterprises. And it will bring him a lot closer to finding out who killed his parents," he went on to tease (via DoG).

Fans should also expect the mentor/student relationship with Alfred (Sean Pertwee) to "take off" during the course of the season. With Gordon (Ben McKenzie), the two will now be closer as friends who "care about one another." This is contrary to the "detective and victim" status they shared back in Season 1.

A possible love triangle between him, Selina (Camren Bicondiva) and Silver St. Cloud (Natalie Alyn Lind) is also expected to spice up the show.

"She [Selina] was mean to me. I have Silver now…it becomes a very interesting dynamic between the three. It becomes a very interesting triangle," Mazouz told Den of Geek.

As for the new villain, Theo Galavan (James Frain) will discover that he needs the young Wayne master as an essential piece for his master plan. Theo will entrap Bruce by doing something that the latter will be so grateful for.

Mazouz went on to inform Den of Geek that for those who are looking forward to Bruce's transformation into the Dark Knight, they may now start counting the days.

"Training is on the rise, especially in the second half of the season," he said (via DoG).

"Gotham" Season 2 debuts September 21 on Fox.
