Not lately...I'm a big horror movie fan, and have a huge collection. But lately there haven't been many good horror movies.

Most of the movies listed here are not new. And some of the newer ones I don't consider horror, like I Saw The Devil. To me that's a thriller. I've been watching a bunch of Korean flicks lately. Been waiting for some more good movies outta France since Martyrs and Inside. Fed up with Zombie movies (was a big fan till they ran it into the ground). Torture porn flicks got boring. First there were some original ideas and twists, and then it was just about upping the gore which was boring. ABCs of Death is 80% shit. A couple good ones in there though. Especially the Indonesian one. VHS was ok. I liked it. VHS 2 was not as good, even though it had a good one (yep, the Indonesian one, same director as the one in ABCs of Death). Haven't really payed much attention to Japanese horror in the last couple years. Not sure what happened there. Cold Fish was alright. But a bit overrated imo. What else? Not sure. I check Bloody Disgusting all the time, and there is not that much that I keep following to be honest...

looks like they gonna do an over the top remake of second guinea pig movie flower of flesh and blood and imo it sucks, boring as hell torture porn. first one is great, the devils experiment, shits looks pretty real with the torturing and they don't go too unrealistic like on the second movie. he never dies and mermaid in the manhole are the good ones too. android of notre dome is cool, but boring and devil woman doctor is just stupid

why even make i spit on your grave 3? the first remake was just alright

1st was hella tight, 2nd wasn't a good but burying the chick alive after all she been thru was hella brutal so they get points for that. I love revenge flicks. 3rd is gonna be dope.

Flower of Flesh & Blood is actually the 3rd film not the 2nd. Yes it's boring, it's a girl being dismembered with some poetry added in, yet I enjoy it a lot more than more recent torture porn films like Grotesque.

Only horror films I've seen lately that I absolutely hated was The Bunny Game now that was boring.

THE FIRST REST STOP IS REALLY CREEPY IN MY OPINION....REST STOP 2 IS TIGHT ALSO....BUT THEY TRY AND EXPLAIN STUFF....AND THAT IS OK IF YOU NEED IT EXPLAINED.

REST STOP 1 - 2006
REST STOP 2 DONT LOOK BACK - 2008
IN THE MOUTH OF MADNESS - 1994
THE BOX - 2009
HALLOWEEN 3 - 1982
CAPTIVITY - 2007

I'm recomending the open grave
It kept me interested enough to sit thru the whole flick but was kinda meh otherwise.

MARTYRS WAS PRETTY TIGHT....THEY COULD HAVE DONE A BETTER JOB OF GOING DEEPER INDEPTH WITH THE ENDING THOUGH.

I thought it was an excellent conclusion. U wanted to know what the old lady knew. Every one did, that's why they were doing what they were doing. I think creating the desire to know had a stronger effect than any explanation they could have presented.

Siberian Film isn't a horror movie. IMO. Neither is Salo.

OH YEAH....I THOUGHT THE ENDING WAS SICK AS FUCK....I JUST WISH THEY WOULD HAVE WENT INTO A LITTLE MORE DETAIL THAN THEY DID....MAKING IT ABOUT 5-10 MINUTES LONGER ONCE THEY GOT WHAT THEY WANTED....IT JUST SEEMED TO QUICK AND FELT RUSHED TO END....COMPARED TO THE REST OF THE MOVIE.

I think the only recent flick worth mentioning was À l'intérieur. Anything else was meh...

I Saw The Devil was a great thriller imo, but you can't really call it horror. Most of the time thrillers which contain a lot of disturbing shit get the nod for me over your blood and guts horrors. It's more believable.

Although not a horror, check out Spoorloos. They later remade it for the US audience (The Vanishing) with Sandra Bullock and Jeff Bridges.
