Score rounds 2-12 in that fight then at the end add 10 to Providnikov and 7 to Algieri. People get way to hung up on what happened in 1 round instead of the other 11.

Anyway I don't know why people knock this fight. I'd rather Algieri get this fight over a "name" like Rios coming off a loss. It's good to reward people for what they do inside the ring instead of who they're promoted by etc.

This fight is bogus, none of y'all can be serious when you say Algieri deserves this fight.
Deserving a fight versus a good fight aren't always mutually exclusive.

The guys deserving of a fight for Pacquiao's WBO 147 pound belt he already fought or can't fight:

147
Mayweather
Bradley
Marquez
Maidana (Al Haymon/Showtime, fighting Floyd)
Keith Thurman/Porter (Al Haymon/Showtime)

140
Danny Garcia (Al Haymon/Showtime)
Matthysse (Al Haymon/Showtime)
Lamont Peterson (Al Haymon/Showtime)

That leaves:
Algieri, Ruslan and Mike Alvarado, the last two just got beat.

The one name I'm not sure about is Amir Khan. I know he signed with Al Haymon but there is confusion wether or not he has a contract with Golden Boy. That was the fight Bob Arum and Roach were talking about, but something got in the way.

I said it before its funny Manny isn't fighting anyone thats capable of ko'ing him since he got knocked out. I get it not many choices but its pretty wack to fight someone thats never fought at 147. Whats weird is how much of a reach advantage Algeiri will have. May be a difficult fight for Manny cuz of the size difference and we know Algeiri is a good runner

Maidana would knock out Algeri within 5 rounds if that. Also if he wouldve fought Khan I would actually like and respect that. Got Em!!

Then why did Algieri always out box Maidana in sparring and Maidana could never land flush on him? But of course you didn't know that. Algieri also made Brandon Rios look silly and held his own against Canelo. It must suck always getting schooled by me time and time again.

Khan would have been the best option I definitely agree with that. I think his career is in limbo at the moment until he gets situated with who is his promoter etc.

His name value I suppose is a nobody but he's an undefeated champion with good boxing skills coming off a huge win, so he's a credible foe. Like I said it would be awesome for a non PPV fight. I always thought only super fights should be on PPV but That's boxing now days unfortunately.

I don't think That's true since their first choice was Marquez (who obviously can KO Manny) but JMM declined, the second option was Ruslan but he lost to Algieri.

He's only fought twice since losing to JMM, a comeback fight against Rios and a title fight against Bradley whom Pac was robbed from prior.

I don't get why he doesn't deserve it. Going into the fight with Rios, Rios went 2-1 going life and death with Alvarado and splitting fights with him and getting a bad decision against Abril. Unknown doesn't equal undeserving. Obviously there's other fights I'd like to see Pacquiao in, just like I don't want to see Mayweather waste a fight on fighting Maidana again.

I'd rather see Algieri or guys in similar positions get their shots then the same recycled fights over and over.

i dont care that they fought 4 times already, it never gets old. Sucks a lot that Marquez turned it down. Boxing is really dumb right now, all these fighters not fighting eachother cuz of being on a different network the fuck is that bullshit? Only 140 pounder Manny should be fighting at the moment is Garcia but obviously that cant happen.

This just proves that Manny should have NEVER resigned with Top Stank...here is why and this my friends is from a business stand point that is VERY HARD TO ARGUE AGAINST...had Manny went the way of Al Hamon he and FLOYD MAYWEATHER would have been on their 3rd possible 4th fight not Pacquaio vs Marquez 5...Manny would have probably been around $30 million pr fight against regular names...and had 3 BIGGER fights with Floyd getting Manny around $50-60 million each fight with PPV revenue without a 27% deduction from Arum...Manny and Floyd would have been seeing CRAZY NUMBERS LIKE NO ONE HAS EVER SEEN...at the same time they would have been best buds behind the scenes...but NOOOOOOOOOOO at this juncture of Manny's career he has fought (Timothy Bradley) and is about to fight (Chris Algeri) who have a combined KO record of 20 knockouts SMFH...Maidana has a record of 30 KO's by himself. As I have stated in the past FUCK BOB ARUM. I will however be excited to watch this fight for the love of boxing...BUT...it could have been...SOOOOOOOOOOO MUCH MORE.

What was wrong with fighting Bradley? He was #3 pound 4 pound and just beat Marquez
Nothing is wrong with Bradley but there is nothing dangerous or explosive about Bradley at 147 lbs either...the excitement with Tim is seeing him flounder about and wondering is he gonna get KO'd...his one shinning performance was against Marquez other than that he has looked clumsy and unorthodox. One big glaring weakness to Tim's marketability as a fighter is he has no defining punch...something people are looking for that will be unleashed at some point in a fight...Nonito Donair = left hook, Oscar left hook, Pacquiao straight left, Cotto left to the body, Floyd lead right, Tyson left hook, Tito both hands...etc. Timothy Bradley is like Austin Trout, Lara, Alexander, Berto, Guerror with nothing of a signature punch and non of them will translate into super stardom Bradley just has more heart. He's a good WIN for anybody but with only 12 KO's to his ledger he's not on the fans radar. Marquez is still hotter than Bradley after he KO'd Many then he LOST to Tim and then he knocked down Alvarado.

I'm not talking about Tim's marketability. He was a champion who just beat Marquez who just KOd Pacquiao. And of course prior had a disputed decision victory over Pac. Obviously Bradley was the best and really only opponent for Pac at that time. Got his revenge, got a title back and proved he still has something left.

What do you mean Trust you? Trust you like when you said Broner is the next Mayweather and that you know greatness when you see it?

It's not like Maidana doesn't struggle with boxers. He got out boxed by Alexander and Amir Khan, the style match up would be a problem for Maidana. A 5'10 boxer who uses a lot of movement and a jab? Doesn't sound like a walk in the park for Maidana.

Yeah only cus Martinez is shot to shit.

I aint saying I get everything right but if you can't see a stylistic bad match up between a brawler and a boxer I don't know what to tell you. Doesn't mean Maidana cant win, but stylistically he struggles with boxers who use movement.
