They definitely were. What I meant was that the lineal championship doesn't necessarily follow a championship, in this case the WBC, and it sure doesn't follow ridiculous sanctioning body stipulations.

Maidana would win the WBC's title, but Floyd would remain lineal 154lb champion because he hasn't lost a fight at the weight and hasn't officially vacated the weight class.

It would be like if the WBC stripped Floyd for not defending or fighting a mandatory. That wouldn't strip him of lineage.
As weird as that sounds, I can't disagree.

I want to hear everyone that was slamming the Danny Garcia fight completely crush Santa Cruz for that opponent. Unranked is his own weight class, NEVER fought at super bantamweight, and had people like Scott Quigg and his whole camp that were pratically begging for a fight.
Al Haymon strikes again.

93rd ranked bantamweight. Thats worse than Salka lol

Rigondeaux was calling out Santa Cruz. Cruz said on twitter he'd fight him anytime anywhere then started backtracking hella quick.

The undercard isn't that bad. I'll be watching the entire card.

It's more than likely going to be a one sided main event, but in order to do that Floyd has to open up. If he get's into a rhythm then he's dangerous. If Maidana hurts him early then he could box cautiously for the 12. It's all how Floyd choosed to fight because Maidan's plan is simple and that's to come out strong and bang for 36 minutes.

undercard might be bad, but there's going to be ko's! As for the main event, idk what to think. Maybe chino is real confident in his abilities to bully around floyd. Floyd might sticc to his boxing and keep chino in the center of the ring. either way i'll be watching, im just hoping for a good, exciting fight. Of course i'll be rooting for chino, but still exciting nonetheless.

I'll watch the whole card, but it's a terrible undercard. Soto/Molina is a fun fight but that's not really part of the PPV, you can watch that without ordering the card.

Angulo/De La Rosa should be alright as a PPV opener.

Santa Cruz/Roman is a complete joke and should never have been sanctioned as a title fight. Roman has never fought in the division and is not even almost ranked having one semi decent win.

Vazquez/Bey is not a terrible fight. I know a lot of people don't like Vazquez's style, but I don't mind him at all and Bey was about a minute from still being undefeated in his fight against Molina. But it's a pretty poor co main event.

I do like the Pacquiao Vs. Algieri card and will likely be ordering that card.

You guys should move down to San Diego! Just disconnect ur cable box, connect ur ol' skool antenna, and watch the main event in HD for free! It might be in espanish but fuck it. Better for me actually. they usually have a 15 min delay, but fights like this get shown live, and only main events.
