Canelo vs Alfredo Angulo [March 8th]

LAS VEGAS (AP) -- IBF light middleweight champion Carlos Molina has been jailed in Las Vegas two days before a scheduled fight.

Molina is being held at the Clark County jail on a federal immigration hold and a warrant accusing him of failing to register as a sex offender seven years ago in Wisconsin.

Las Vegas police Officer Laura Meltzer said Thursday the 30-year-old Molina was arrested Tuesday on a 2007 warrant from Outagamie County, Wisconsin.

Molina made an appearance Thursday before a Las Vegas judge and tried to post $10,000 bail.

But Meltzer says his release was denied after Las Vegas police learned he was also sought by U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement.

Molina (22-5-2, 6 KOs) is scheduled to fight Jermall Charlo (17-0, 13 KOs) on Saturday.

Canelo worked too hard to lose all that weight for Floyd and afterwards he got out of shape. Now he is struggling to make weight and will soon enter a world of middleweights that will fuck him up. I doubt that he will go to 160 he might get the fighters to negotiate something to fight at 156 or so so that way he wont train as hard but what a dumb fuck.

If that happens then GGG can fight Ward or Lara lol. Got Em!!

But this is not a title fight and his next fight won't be a title fight either. He has two more ppv's scheduled this year and his next fight will be Cotto if Cotto loses, thus making it another non title ppv fight. He will continue to train hard after this fight, fight another non title fight, and if Mayweather doesn't fight Lara, Canelo will drop for Lara.

This fight shouldn't have been a pay per view either.

Im pretty sure the july ppv will get scratched if he fights Cotto next. But the locations are said to be in San Antonio and Los Angeles. Bob Arum was actually talking about Canelo being a free agent and he would make the fight for Cotto, but GBP came out saying no he's not, Canelo just signed a 3 ppv fight contract with GBP.

@Coach E. No but if you think about it, the original promos for the Canelo fights before Floyd were supposed to be on ppv. Plus, I'm pretty sure GBP was promising him this since he took the catchweight fight with Floyd.

Oh, I know. And they had kinda backed off of this particular fight being a PPV, then decided to make it one anyways.
