Is Sony Announcing the PlayStation 4 on February 20?

Something big is afoot in the world of the Sony PlayStation. In a post on the PlayStation blog entitled “See the Future,” Sony has embedded this video, which teases a PlayStation event set for February 20. Industry journalists also received an email today touting a 6 p.m. EST event in New York on that date.

With Nintendo’s introduction of the Wii U last fall and leaked documents pointing to the next Xbox sometime on the horizon, gamers have speculated that this year’s E3 might finally see Playstation 4 or Xbox 720 hardware.

Game culture blog Kotaku spotted this post by Sony President Shuhei Yoshida, adding another tease to the mix: ?!

Sony’s suggested hashtag for the event, #PlayStation2013, saw over 3,000 tweets in just two hours, according to a Topsy.com report. A decent showing, but it didn’t trend nationally.

Are you ready to say goodbye to PS3 and pick up a PS4?

No used game restrictions
Dont need online to play
And this is what it boils down to. Both systems are similar in hardware specs. Doesn't matter what they look like physically. Both will have their own exclusive games, some dope, some not. But the killer here is that if I want to lend a game to my bro I can do so on the PS4, I don't need to go to his house and log on with my account. I also don't need someone to be on my friends list for 30 days in order to "give" a game away. I don't have to go through all types of crazy hoopla to sell a game. Plus I won't have to worry about being constantly connected online to play a game.

xbox fucked itself royally it appears. Unless they do something drastic, I just don't see how watching TV through your console is that great of a concept. Or skyping a friend while I watch TV.

They are gonna have to either fix that or do a patch or its lights out.
I for one I'm not big on social media. I don't have a facebook, I'm barely on twitter, and I'm mainly gonna be gaming at my girls house and she doesn't have internet access. Ps4 for me.

Neither did. MS simply said November and Sony said holidays. So both will be released Nov-Dec just in time for Christmas. I'm guessing MS may get a couple week jump but that hardly matters.
Yea that's what I meant. Microsoft saying around November. Maybe ps4 might come out earlier since not even the month was mentioned. Because if it is coming out earlier and they mention it then it will cut on ps3 sales and ps3 game sales too.
