i cant hate on the 2004 & before E-40.. Breakin News was his last true classic to me, his catalog is definitely one of the best, even outside the Bay rap scene.

his newer shit tho.... 2 or 3 good songs per cd! we gotta take a step back out of our bay-biased selves and really listen: lame features, hella weak hooks and beats that we would clown on if it was a rapper outside our region!

Tri is 3 and I was confused at first since there are 4 albums total, but he is releasing Vol 1 and 2, plus a deluxe edition which is just the 2 bundled together I am assuming. And I agree with others, this is over-saturation, but at the very least he aint dropping all 4 at the same time. I stopped listening once he started these multi album releases, but I'm behind like 20 albums so maybe I will give these a skim thru..

I thought his last Quattro album had a lot of decent cut. Rockin like Bamboo.
