so i was reading this article supposedly written by dude who got shot's mom, and she claims this lol: Officer Richard Hastings received a medal of valor for the murder of my son and since then he has been arrested on eight counts of child sodomy and two counts of child pornography. The police and the media didn’t demonize him for being a pedophile who chose to break the law.

that is so fucked up if that's true and isn't news.

I think it is the case where the cops said he shot at them first but no gun was found. However in some of the vids you see a random dude pick up what is supposed to be a gun and walk away at the scene.

Hard to tell what really transpired but overall it isnt an open and shut police on civilian homicide like Oscar Grant.

Two years since SFPD murdered Kenneth Harding: Muni shutdown July 16, 2013

July 16, 2013, will mark the two year anniversary of the murder of Kenneth Harding Jr., who was murdered by San Francisco police at the age of 19 for allegedly failing to pay a $2.00 transit fare. While the family still awaits information for an investigation of the police, the Kenneth Harding Jr. Foundation would like to call upon everyone to come together in solidarity to support a transit shutdown against San Francisco Municipal Transit.

Muni Transit has to take responsibility for their role in this horrific murder. They request for police officers to conduct fare inspections within the impoverished areas of the city and upon impoverished youth and people of color.

We want free transit for all youth; no one should have to worry about losing their life for not having transit fare or not paying transit fare. No one should be racially profiled, stopped and frisked, or have their rights violated to determine if they have paid transit fare. Everyone should have the right to ride transit without fear of losing their life.

We are asking for full support and cooperation from all unions, especially transit, organizations, movements and our community members. We want mothers who have lost their children to step up and speak out with us on this day and allow your cries to be heard.

We want to affect the city of San Francisco’s economic system in order to allow our voices to be heard. We are asking those who stand in solidarity against police brutality and those who would like to help organize and/or endorse the shutdown to contact the Kenneth Harding Jr. Foundation at (415) 505-6331, or you can email [email protected].

We are all still Kenneth Harding Jr., Alan Blueford, Derrick Gaines, Oscar Grant, Trayvon Martin, Ramarley Graham, Raheim Brown, James Rivera Jr., Gary King Jr., Mario Romero, Ernest Duenez Jr. and so many more.

THEY TAKE US DOWN – WE SHUT THEM DOWN!
What happened July 16, 2011, and what have we been doing about it?

Nineteen year old Kenneth Harding Jr. was viciously gunned down and murdered by San Francisco police on July 16, 2011. Kenneth was riding on the T-train on Third Street, where there is constant police occupation.

On that day the police entered the train at Third Street and Palou, walked straight to Kenneth and asked for proof of purchase. When Kenneth did not supply a transfer, the police removed him from the train. At that time Kenneth began to run with his hands up and holding his cell phone. Police Officers Lopez and Hastings chased him and gunned him down from two different directions.

Then the stories began. The police began to say he had a gun, which was never recovered. As Kenneth lay in a pool of his own blood, struggling to stay alive, no medical help was rendered to him. He lay there for 28 minutes bleeding out as the police stood over him with their guns trained on him. The police wouldn’t allow the paramedics to help him or anyone from the crowd of people that quickly surrounded the scene.

Since the murder, the Kenneth Harding Jr. Foundation was formed. We have been feeding the community on the third Sunday of every month at the very spot where the ground is still stained with Kenneth’s blood. We’ve been out there for 17 months consecutively. We’ve had a winter coat and clothing drive, and we’ve had a spring clothing drive, while also providing grocery bags on a monthly basis while still serving healthful, nutritious lunch bags.

Cop who murdered Kenneth Harding arrested for molesting teenage boy

According to ABC News on Aug. 29, 2013, Officer Richard Hastings of the San Francisco Police Department, who is 37 years old, was arrested in Concord, California, for alleged child molestation. Richard Hastings is one of the officers named in my lawsuit against the city of San Francisco for the murder of my son, Kenneth Harding Jr.

The story states: “A San Francisco police officer was arrested in Concord last week for alleged child molestation, Concord police said Thursday.

“Richard Hastings, 37, was arrested at about 8:15 a.m. on Aug. 21 after he was (stopped) in his car on Monument Boulevard near Ramona Drive, according to police.

“Concord police had initiated an investigation earlier this month into an alleged relationship between Hastings and a 15-year-old juvenile.

When you think of an officer of the law, you tend to think of a public servant to protect and serve, not a murderer, child molester or pedophile. We know that all officers aren’t bad, but we also know that all officers aren’t good.

“Investigators eventually developed enough information to arrest Hastings on suspicion of lewd and lascivious acts with a child, sodomy with a child under 16 years old and contributing to the delinquency of a minor, police said.

“Hastings was booked into jail and later posted bail and was released, according to police.

San Francisco Police Officer Pleads Not Guilty In Molestation, Child Porn Case
January 27, 2014 11:32 AM

SAN FRANCISCO (CBS SF) – A San Francisco police officer pleaded not guilty Monday morning in Contra Costa Superior Court to 10 felony counts of child molestation and possession of child pornography.

Officer Richard Hastings, 38, of Concord, is accused of molesting a 15-year-old boy on several different occasions between June and August.

Deputy District Attorney Alison Chandler said Hastings was arrested in August after the boy was caught sneaking out of his own home to meet with the officer.

Defense attorney Eileen Burke said the pair had met on an online dating site and the boy had claimed he was of legal age.
