Lovie Smith fired fired after 9 seasons.

Despite having a 10-6 record they fail to make the playoffs for the 5th time in the past 6 years since the super bowl. More importantly, they've lost to the Packers the last 8 out of 9 games, including the last 6 in a row. Beating the Packers was Lovie's #1 priority when he was hired.

While having amazing defense just about every year since he's been coach, the offense has never got it going, only ranking higher than 23rd once in 9 years. That's what it boils down to.

Lovie truly was a players coach however, and the team absolutely loves him. Many of the players are pretty depressed, Devin Hester reportedly said he doesn't even know if he wants to return to the NFL anymore (surely a knee-jerk reaction).

Bears have already requested permission to speak to Bronco's offensive coordinator Mike McCoy.

Who would you like to see da bears hire?

It was time to let Lovie go, he had reached his peak as a bears coach and his peak wasn't high enough. Yeah the bears have some flaws but overall there is no excuse for that team to go 10-6. They had multiple oppurtunities to win that divsion and they choked. The 2012 bears only beat 2 playoff teams, Vikings and Colts. The rest of their wins came against mediocre squads, Packers, Shehawks, 49ers, and Texans all shitted on them

If the bears sure up that offensive line i would like to see what chip kelly could do with cutler.

out of all the teams that fired their coaches i think the bears is the best team out of that bunch, Eagles have talent but don't have a QB. the bears just need some O line help and a TE that can catch they should be good.

i hope brian urlacher retires a bear

I'm sure he will. He's not going to have much value on the market knowing he's probably got one year left in him.

I agree Bears are the best team of the bunch. Their defense is still dope and Cutler and Marshall are damn near unstoppable together. Jeffery is a promising young WR. Forte gotta stay healthy though.

cutler has had a shitty GM and different offensive coordinator / play callers every few years.

new GM has been good this year but Jerry Angelo fucked up the bears depth alot in the past drafts, but they need to get a coach that call the plays or a offensive coordinator that stays there for more than 2 years.

i was listening to waddle and silvy and they think Mike McCoy or bruce arians will be head coach

Those are just excuses for Cutler. Tons of teams have shitty o-lines. The Packers o line is terrible but Rodgers is still good. Bronco fans use to say the same excuses. Same dude for like 7 years now. When he goes to a new team Bears fans will say he sucked and hate his face like the rest of us.

Angelo would draft four CBs every damn year the only the only offensive WR type i ever remember him drafting was TE greg Olsen and they git rid of him for some reason. Completely neglected the offensive for about a decade.
u can thank mike martz lol

your right tons of teams have shitty o lines like the packers cowboys and many other but they have depth and good OC's. the bears had mike tice lol the bears had more 2nd and 10s than any other team in the NFL this year. mike tice sucked a calling plays and lovie lost his job for not hiring a good OC/play caller.

is cutler elite....no, but if you give him a real line i think he can win a superbowl someday. cutler reminds me alot of Favre

Aaron Rodgers is a very special kind of QB man. I hate the packers and it pains me to say that lol but its the truth.

if you've watched the bears over the years not only has the oline been so bad but they practically get guys killed. Did you see Jason Campbell vs the 49ers? That was a massacre. And that's the kind of stuff Cutler has had to put up with week in and week out for years, its never changed. And yet he's good enough to still make big time plays, avoid sacks and extend plays. Cutler has taken so much physical punishment in Chicago, he's a tough guy. And we've seen what happens ehen Cutler is out they lose.

He sucks and he's not tough he always gets hurt and fakes injuries. He will never win a Superbowl he's a choker. When he does I'll admit I was wrong. He throws the worst interceptions I ever saw.
