Yeah it's the pre-season. When almost every player is evaluated. You expect them to put a little effort into this evaluation. The 3rd game is the most important to showcase the starters but like I said they really didn't show anything special.

I've been a football fan for 28 years and have never once in my life saw a season were the pre-season determined in any way shape or form how a team looks during the regular season. Hence the reason you see playoff teams going 0-4 or 1-3 in the pre-season every year and shitty 4-12 teams going 4-0 in the pre-season every year.

It's a glorified scrimmage plain and simple. It's annoying as fuck every single year when people start talking about "they looked shitty in that pre-season game, guess the season is tanked" lol who fucking cares about the pre-season, it has literally never determined how a team looks in a regular season ever.

Sorry to annoy you dude but I'm not making that point. My point was made for each individual playing for the team. Nobody stood out at all against the Packers. Most teams, even those that go 0-4 in the preseason have some individuals standout. This team didn't show me anything that mattered in this particular game.

My bad, I should've made it clear in that second paragraph when I talked about people being annoying with the preseason talk that your post itself wasn't annoying. That was more of a general statement based on every single year people having meltdowns based on preseason games lol

To me though Matt Schaub is the only person really under performing. Granted we haven't had any standouts like Rod Streater's great preseason a couple years back, but I ain't really worried about the overall team based on these games.

Matt Schaub though, holy fuck dude looks bad.

I really thought last year was just a bad year for schuab but it's really lookin like he's done career wise.....I'd like to see McLovin in there before Carr just cuz I wouldn't want Carr thrown to the wolves immediately

I could be wrong but It looked like Seattles starting D on those first two possessions/ scores.
Wagner and Smith have been out since this week more or less, so they wanted playing time before the season started. They took Sherm and Maxwell out the first series, as well as ET. Not sure if Kam was out there. The entire DL was taken out for 2nd and 3rd stingers. Outside of the first drive, there was 2 plays resulting in TD's, with 75% of the 1st stingers outs.

Are you really bragging on a preseason game? Holy shitballs.

The 3rd pre season game is typically the most important, it's where the starters play at least the entire first half and some or all of the 3rd. Seattle was up 31-0 against the bears at halftime last week. Today Russell Wilson had what, 3 for 3 passes total? For 80-something yards and a TD? And then when out? Not worried about anything after that.
