The landscape of political views has a dimension higher than 2. So this is inevitably overtly simplistic. Also, a number of these questions made little sense to me, but anyway, here is the result. I expected to be in the upper left quadrant, BTW

I think I understand how that test works - a lot of weight on the Y axis is given to questions about sexuality and other personal freedoms, however, that's starting from the presupposition that certain other rights are so universally agreed upon that there is no point even asking about one's position on them. But that's not surprising - a defining characteristic of modern politics is the excessive amount of energy spent on trivial insignificant issues while completely ignoring the truly important ones...

I am all for giving everyone as much freedom as possible as long as this does not jeopardize the survival of the species as a whole. That means a weird combination of the kind of draconian authoritarian control over resource consumption, reproduction, and even life/death decisions that is completely unthinkable for basically everyone and in the same time giving everyone complete freedom over inconsequential matters such as what holes people are putting it in.

Yeah some of it is simplistic but still one of the best I've seen online. There are some really shitty ones like how conservative vs liberal are u, etc.

Economic Left/Right: -3.38
Social Libertarian/Authoritarian: -0.82

*note: I voted for Libertarian and former Republican/ New Mexico Governor Gary Johnson in 2012 Presidential Election who is extreme right Economically +9.5 and dead center Socially 0.0

In 2008 I voted for Green Party Presidential Candidate Cynthia McKinney and VP Candidate Rosa Clemente (not sure where they fall exactly though they would be considered TRUE progressives)
